Q: Is your tumblr for art or is it a personal blog as well?
A: My tumblr is mainly a space for my art, but I will sometimes post a blurb about a show that I’m in, or other related news. But really I wanted it to be an image only kind of thing. I started my tumblr in January of 2010, so it’s going to show my work from this year on.
Q: How often do you post art?
A: I try to post every weekend. I upload work as soon as I complete it. Posting it online has become a part of my working process.
Q: Do you post your drawing process or only finished works?
A: I only post finished work.
Q: What types of mediums do you use?
A: As a collage and assemblage artist I will use pretty much anything. I mainly work on paper with acrylic and paper scraps, but I also work on canvas, cradled panel, and found media. I recently started customizing toys, so they may start to appear more in my work.
Q: Describe your art style.
A: I am heavily influenced by Dada, graphic design, typography, and color. My style is a mash up of everything that influences me. I tend to break down each element used in my work to its basest form; for example text is used primarily for its linear qualities and shape. I try to remove original context and create something entirely new.
