Q: Is your tumblr for art or is it a personal blog as well?
A: Very rarely do I post anything that isn’t my own art. If I post something else it’s related to both me and art in general (such as an art trade I did with someone else, or info about upcoming shows, etc)
Q: How often do you post art?
A: That varies greatly. Sometimes I’ll have four pieces a day for a week. Other times, It’ll be like, one piece a week. It all depends on how productive I’ve been, if I have a project going on, or if other obligations have gotten in the way.
Q: Do you post your drawing process or only finished works?
A: Usually not. I think I can count three times I’ve posted a progression. Mind you, I do occasionally post excerpts from my sketchbooks, which may-or-may-not be related to a finished piece.
Q: What types of mediums do you use?
A: Mostly collage: x-acto, paste, old books, magazines, found objects, cardboard, trash, etc. But I’ve also used ink, acrylic, and charcoal with collage. I also post illustrations and sketches in charcoal, pencil, ink, etc. If you really slog through the whole thing, you’ll even find some wire sculpture and maybe a scratch board or something near the earlier posts.
Q: Describe your art style.
A: I’m really into Dada, Surrealism, Byzantine Icons and Constructivism. I like to think the influences show up in my work. Kurt Schwitters, Hannah Hoch, and Alexander Rodchenko are a few of my favorite historical artists whose styles I continuously rip off.
Q: Do you have any additional comments?
A: You can find me in a bunch of places around the internet (links at the top of my tumblr).
