Q: Is your tumblr for art or is it a personal blog as well?
A: My tumblr is at best description, my personal blog. I do however, use it a lot for my work, for advertising my other art sites and ‘proffessional blog’ -which is mostly for college work and more serious practice- on wordpress (It’s mostly for my contemporary art practice).
Q: How often do you post art?
A: I post up some art almost directly after it’s finished. I’ll sometimes repost older pieces as new followers come along, sort of as an ‘introduction’ to some work. It completely depends on how much work I’ve got done, sometimes I’ll have 3 or 4 pieces and WIP’s a day, sometimes it’s only once a week. Totally dependent on my schedule.
Q: Do you post your drawing process or only finished works?
A: I almost always post works in progress via webcam, photographs, and scanned images. I’ll have screenshots as well of some photoshopping work that I do -when it comes to posters etc. I also have time lapse videos of the process of some pieces, which is more for my benefit than anybody else. It helps me to learn from my mistakes, but also I find that potential clients and ‘fans’ get a good look at how I do things.
Q: What types of mediums do you use?
A: My medium of choice is usually ink and drawing pens. I have specific style, I like to think, that requires that sort of material. I do alot of pencil work, and the occasional watercolour painting. Acrylic’s -as much as i love them- are a rarity, purely because of time. I’m a busy art student haha!
Q: Describe your art style.
A: I think I’ve developed my own style of illustration. I like to mix illustration with more traditional methods of creating art to HOPEFULLY make something unique. I guess I’m ‘known’ for my horror/macabre almost tattoo-like themes, however, I’ve only recently grown towards illustration, and a lot of past works & possibly more future works have been traditional portraits so I suppose I could say I mix between both.
Q: Do you have any additional comments?
A: I would say that I’m a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to my artworks and by all means I don’t consider myself a fully fledged artist. I consider myself to still be learning and experimenting as I suppose I will all my life, but for now I’m getting my footing and just starting to confidently know where I’m taking my work. I hope that people enjoy it and enjoy taking the journey with me.
