Q: Is your tumblr for art or is it a personal blog as well?
A: It’s a mix of both. I post my works, stuff I do, personal ramblings and inspirations.
Q: How often do you post art?
A: I post as much as I can. I think I post 80-90% percent of art related posts.
Q: Do you post your drawing process or only finished works?
A: Mostly finished works. I think I have some posts that included process. I should post more process oriented stuff.
Q: What types of mediums do you use?
A: I compose everything in Photoshop. It’s a mix of vector work and actual paint splatters and brush strokes.
Q: Describe your art style.
A: I mix simple lines, shapes and textures to tell an idea or story. I get inspiration from Filipino folklore, handicrafts and festivals. The Filipino aesthetic is maximalist by nature, so I try to balance it out by getting inspiration from minimalist designers. I use a lot of textures to make my illustrations look organic albeit the use of basic, industrial-looking shapes. I try to mix contradictions in my illustrations, and it seems to work. Haha.
