Q: Is your tumblr for art or is it a personal blog as well?
A: Hello! My Tumblr (lovingly named “Liberation by Imagination”) is for art. It started out as a personal project to keep myself drawing all the time, but now I guess it’s kind of a notebook where I sketch & doodle & keep track of all the words and images that inspire me. I hope that along the way, others are inspired too.
Q: How often do you post art?
A: I post something almost every day: some quote, article, art made by someone I admire, or art made by myself. That last one comes 2-3 times a week. Sunday for sketches, Wednesday for What-I-Wore, Friday for (hopefully) something finished. Ahah. See what I did there with the alliteration? :p
Q: Do you post your drawing process or only finished works?
A: They’re mostly finished works, but I should really do some process posts too.
Q: What types of mediums do you use?
A: Most of my stuff is digital, done in Photoshop, OpenCanvas, or Paint Tool SAI. There are some pencil/ink sketches here and there and occasionally something using actual paint.
Q: Describe your art style.
A: Hm. I used to think my drawing style was kind of schizophrenic, but recently it’s been converging to works with bright colors and kind of a cartoony style. I’m completely entranced with anatomy, lines/curves, and character design and I hope that reflects in my work as well.
Q: Do you have any additional comments?
A: Tumblr is amazing for introducing me to this art community and helping me become less durn self-conscious about my work. And thanks for featuring! This directory is a great idea! :)
