Q: Is your tumblr for art or is it a personal blog as well?
A: Although, I mostly post art, it is personal in the sense that my art is personal and just as much an expression as a journal entry. It’s a snap shot of what is going on in my life at the moment.
Q: How often do you post art?
A: Every week or two depending on how much time I have had to work on projects
Q: Do you post your drawing process or only finished works?
A: I post progress shots, I like to see the evolution of my work. Photographing my paintings also helps me see where I’m having problems with shading and anatomy.
Q: What types of mediums do you use?
A: Oil, graphite, charcoal, acrylic(rarely) and digital media. I use an intuos3 and painter11/photoshop for my digital work.
Q: Describe your art style.
A: I love painting from photographs. I love capturing all of the little abstractions and textures that make up someone’s face or body. I like dramatic lighting, though I don’t always use it. I have a serious passion for shading and I’m still learning how to do this better. I usually end up conveying a sense of serenity in my creative/inventive images.
Q: Do you have any additional comments?
A: I am in school getting my BFA in Art Education with an emphasis in painting. I plan to teach high school or college.
