How do I submit my own tumblr?
Visit the submit page and answer the questions provided. Then copy and paste the questions and answers into the box. Make sure you provide three images of your own artwork and select the tags that define the mediums you use.
How do I submit other people’s tumblr?
You can’t answer the questions for other artists, but you can make us aware of artists on tumblr that are not already in our archive. Please paste the link to the artist’s tumblr into our ask box. We will then contact the artist and ask them if they would like to be featured.
How do I submit pictures?
It is preferred that you submit pictures via URLs, either by uploading them onto a media hosting website such as imageshack.us or providing links to the tumblr posts or any other links where the images were posted (flickr, deviantart, etc). If you upload images straight from your computer, they may expire before we get to your submission. In that case, we would contact you to re-submit the images.
Can I submit my own tumblr?
Yes. Artist Directory encourages people who create art to make submissions. We search for artists ourselves, but we can’t find everyone. :)
Can I still submit if my tumblr is not mainly for art?
Yes. As long as you post your own art sometimes, you can still submit. Many artists that are on Artist Directory are mainly personal blogs that occasionally post art. If you post other people’s artwork, please provide us with three images of your art so that we won’t mistake someone else’s work for your own.
Why was my submission not posted?
Artist Directory is run by two high school students that have responsibilities outside of the internet. We receive submissions daily, and they add up. The majority of the posts are made on the weekends and are put into the queue. It may take a while for your submission to be posted as the queue is scheduled to post twice a day. You are welcome to ask us about the status of your submission.
